Joyce Freeman

AIKEN, SC- JOYCE ELAINE FREEMAN, 75, died Sunday, December 15, 2013 at Azalea Woods. Ms. Freeman was born in Redlands, California and the family shortly there after moved back to South Carolina. Ms. Freeman made Aiken her home in 1960. She was a communicant of Saint Mary's Help of Christians Catholic Church in Aiken and retired from the Graniteville Company as an operator. Ms. Freeman was an avid USC Gamecock fan. The family would like to thank the staff at Azalea Woods for their compassionate care provided to Ms. Freeman. Survivors include two brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard and Valerie Freeman, Aiken, SC and Eddie and Jan Freeman, St. Louis, MO; two nieces, Linda Forment and Danielle Freeman; four nephews, Mark, Richard, Robert and Ryan Freeman. Ms. Freeman was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie L. Freeman and Erma Smith Freeman and a brother, Elbert "Bert" Freeman. Final prayers and commendation will be celebrated graveside in Aiken Memorial Gardens Friday, December 20, 2013 at 11 AM with the Father Gregory Wilson celebrant.
