AIKEN – Mr. Henry Platt Moseley, Jr., 86, went to be with his loving wife, Bettie Woodward Moseley, on Tuesday, December 17, 2013.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Friday at Levels Baptist Church with the Reverend Davis Barton officiating. Interment with military honors and Masonic Rites will follow in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be David Turner, Ronald Moseley, Jim Folk, Patrick Folk, Jonathan Brown and Allen Moseley.
Mr. Moseley was a lifelong resident of Aiken, a son of the late Henry P. and Marie Horsey Moseley. He served in the US Marines during World War II, was an electrical engineer for E.I. DuPont at the Savannah River Plant, was the oldest living member of Aiken Masonic Lodge 156, was a 32nd Degree Shriner, served on the Aiken County School Board, and graduated with an LLB from the Augusta Law School. He was a member of Levels Baptist Church.
He is survived by his daughter, Myra Ann Moseley, Aiken; three sons, Keith M. Moseley, Monetta, Michael H. (Joan) Moseley, Augusta, GA, Dusty (Lauren) Moseley, Aiken; one grandson, Kelby Moseley and two granddaughters, Allyson (Justin) Dorris and Ashley (Calvin) Davis; great grandchildren, MaKynzi Ann Moseley, Austin and Adam Davis, Emma Grace Moseley, Scarlet Re’ and Sarah Ashley Dorris; a sister, Patty Brown, Aiken; two brothers, Stanley Moseley, Las Vegas, NV, Tom Moseley, Ocala, FL.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Julian Moseley.
