Dorothy Elizabeth Taylor

AIKEN, SC – DOROTHY ELIZABETH TAYLOR, 91, beloved wife of William H. Taylor, died Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. A native of Greer, SC, Mrs. Taylor was a daughter of the late Elijah and Pearl Brown Edwards. She was a graduate of Spartanburg Junior College and taught school in Lamar, SC prior to her marriage in 1947. She had lived in Aiken since 1953 and was a homemaker and a member of Millbrook Baptist Church. Survivors, in addition to her husband of 66 years, William, include two sons, Michael W. (Sharon) Taylor, Seattle, WA and Stephen D. (Cindy) Taylor, Charleston, SC; a granddaughter, Jessica Taylor, Anchorage, AK; a sister, Sarah Flynn, Greer, SC; 2 step-grandchildren and 3 step-great-grandchildren, Seattle, WA. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 11, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home with The Rev. Dr. Chris Masters officiating. Interment will follow in Aiken Memorial Gardens.
