NEW ELLENTON, SC - FREDERICK JAMES "JIM" ANDERSON, 73, beloved husband of Ann Key Anderson, died Tuesday January 7, 2014 at University Hospital, Augusta, GA. A native of Aiken County, Jim was a son of the late Fred and Louise Smith Anderson. He was a graduate of the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy and was a former game warden with the SC Department of Natural Resources. He worked in maintenance until his retirement from the Savannah River Site. Jim was a member of Talatha Baptist Church. He was an avid sportsman and was a member of the DuPont Pistol Team. Survivors, in addition to his wife of 39 years, Ann, include two daughters, Kellie (Travis) Taylor, Warrenville, Kim (Kevin) Haupfear, Warrenville; a son, M. Todd (Erika) Anderson, Warrenville; five grandchildren, Tyler Anderson, Caleb Haupfear, Mackenzie Haupfear, Cohen Taylor and Kimberly Jacobson. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan G. Anderson. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 10, 2014 at Noon at Talatha Baptist Church with The Revs. Bill Hannon, Mike Bell and Kevin Carter officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Charles Key, Billy Key, Tyler Anderson, Caleb Haupfear, Ricky Heath, Carter Rhine, Kevin Haupfear and Jerry Gresham. The family will receive friends Friday morning at the church beginning at 11:00 AM, and at other times at the home of Charles and Ann Key in New Ellenton.
