JACKSON, SC – JOSEPHINE E. SAPP, 67, beloved wife of James L. “Lee” Sapp, died Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at University Hospital, Augusta, GA following an extended illness. A native of Goldsboro, NC, Josephine was a daughter of the late Lonnie and Bobbie Sauls Evans. She had lived in Jackson, SC for 28 years where she was a homemaker and a member of Christian Fellowship Church. Survivors, in addition to her husband Lee, include a son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Glenna Stephenson of Huntington WV; three grandchildren, Brandee Stephenson and fiancé Christopher M. Tweedy of Omaha, Nebraska, Joshaua and Brittani Stephenson of Huntington WV; two great grandchildren, Matthew and Aubree Tweedy of Omaha Nebraska; a sister, Maxine Evans, Aiken. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Saturday at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home, 715 East Pine Log Rd., Aiken, SC. The funeral will be held Sunday at 2:00 PM at the graveside in Jackson Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Gerald Doolittle officiating.
