Earl Jay Brewer

AIKEN, SC- EARL JAY BREWER, 77, beloved husband of the late Barbara Hickman Brewer, died Sunday, January 19, 2014. Mr. Brewer was a native of Trent, KY, having made Aiken his home since 1959. He retired as a supervisor from Owens Corning Fiberglass and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Mr. Brewer was a member of Millbrook Baptist Church, the Millbrook Baptist Church Whittlers, and the hole-in-one club at Bogeyville Golf Course. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, and brother. Survivors include two sons, Michael (Ginny) Brewer, Clarks Hill, SC and Robert (Cindy) Brewer, New Ellenton, SC; three grandchildren, Kristen Brewer, Jason Brewer, and Jason Smith; and a brother, Alfred Brewer, Rotonda, Fl. In addition to his wife, Barbara Hickman Brewer, he was preceded in death by his parents, Boyd C. and Ora Clark Brewer; and three sisters, Aline McAlfee, Pauline Asbury, and Hala May Linkous. Graveside funeral services with military honors will be held this Thursday morning at 11 AM in Aiken Memorial Gardens. The Reverend Dr. Chris Masters officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Millbrook Baptist Church Whittlers.
