AIKEN, SC – MARY JO JENKINS. 83, widow of Harley Jenkins, died Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.
A native of Greene County, GA, Mary Jo was a daughter of the late Joe W. and Marian Powell Quinn. She worked as a technician at Riegal Textiles and also worked a number of years at Warneke Cleaners. She was a member of Talatha Baptist Church.
Survivors include 4 daughters, Christa Williams, Amanda Whitecotton, Janice (Billy) Watkins and Nancy (Austin) Rollins, all of Aiken; 9 grandchildren, Trisha DuPree, Danny Williams, Scott Williams, Heather Edl, Mitch Watkins, April Ramos, Dana Burch, Shane Workman and Stacey Arnold; 14 great-grandchildren, Tamara, Daniel, Samuel, Kim, Casey, Tyler, Kyle, Caleb, Madison, Camron, Michael, Julia, Zach, Breanna; a sister, Barbara Nash, Tifton, GA. In addition to her parents and husband, Mary Jo was preceded in death by a daughter, Michele Workman and a great-grandson, Connor.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Sunday at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Monday, February 3, 2014 at 1 PM at the funeral home with Rev. David Lester officiating. Interment will follow in Aiken Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Mitch Watkins, Danny Williams, Scott Williams, Shane Workman, Ricky Gunter and Scott Mann.
