Ann Haile Vinson

AIKEN, SC- ANN HAILE VINSON, 81, beloved wife of the late Edward I. Vinson, died Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. Funeral services will be held this Wednesday at 10 AM in the Shellhouse Funeral Home Chapel. The Reverends Phillip Hamilton and Paul Hamilton officiating. Interment will follow in the Haile Family Cemetery in Jonesville, SC. Pallbearers will be grandchildren. Mrs. Vinson was a native of Jonesville, SC, having made Aiken her home since 1952. She retired as a cashier from A&P and was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and caregiver to so many. Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn (David) Herlong, Aiken, SC; a step-daughter, Susan Owens, Spartanburg, SC; a son, Baxter Felix Vinson, Aiken, SC; a step-son, Edward Ira (Jeanie) Vinson, Chapin, SC; twelve grandchildren, and seventeen great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Edward I. Vinson, Mrs. Vinson was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Felix Haile and Lorena Alford Haile, and a son Frank James Vinson.
