AIKEN, SC – HENRY EUGENE SCHULTZ, 77, beloved husband of Linda Meadows Schultz, died Sunday, February 16, 2014 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.
A native of Hell Hole Swamp in Charleston County, SC, Henry was a son of the late George W. and Marguerete Wyndham Schultz. He joined the United States Marine Corps when he was 16 years old, and served in Korea and Vietnam rising to the rank of Gunnery Sergant. Henry had lived in Aiken since 1973 and retired from Kimberly Clark. He was a member of University Parkway Church of God. He was an avid hunter and loved the beach and reading.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, Linda, include three daughters, Michelle Schultz (Bishop Walter D. Jr.) Mitchum, Chester, SC, Jeannie (Bruce) Holcombe, Aiken, Georgie (Corey) Peschke, Helotes, TX; a son, André Lee (Holly) Schultz, Port St. Lucie, FL; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Clinton (Blanche) Schultz, Couchton, SC and Harry (Bobbie) Schultz, Aiken.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home with Bishop Walter D. Mitchum, Jr. officiating. Military Rites will be accorded by the United States Marine Corps Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
