Donald L. Armstrong

AIKEN, SC – DONALD L. ARMSTRONG, 50, died Friday, July 04, 2008 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. A native of Paducah, KY, Mr. Armstrong was a son of the late Donald Joseph and Mattie Modean Dixon Armstrong. He had lived in Aiken since 1990, and was the president and co-owner of Armstrong & Johnston Fire Protection Contractors, Inc. He held a NICET Level IV Certification, and was a member of AFSA and NFPA. Survivors include his wife, Nannette Henson Armstrong and daughter, Elizabeth Dawn Armstrong, both of Aiken and a brother, Douglas Kent Armstrong of Smithland, KY. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home, 715 East Pine Log Rd., Aiken, SC with The Rev.’s Darrell Engle and Floyd Prince officiating. Interment will follow in the historic Bethany Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Thomas Hardin, Jason Johnston, Jamie Johnston, J. T. Minor, Bill Wynne, Tommy Frakes, Terry Woodruff and Ronnie Johnson.
