AIKEN – Mrs. Dixie Lee Ellington Day, 70, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2014.A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday at Memorial Baptist Church with the Reverend Charles Jenkins officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the church.  Interment will be held privately.Mrs. Day was born in Portsmouth, VA, a daughter of Sarah Farmer Ellington of Aiken, and the late James L. Ellington.  She had been a resident of Aiken since 1950, was a bookkeeper for Farmers and Merchants Bank and Wyatt Development.
