NEW ELLENTON, SC – MATTHEW CHRISTIAN SILVESTER, 38, beloved husband of Amanda Flowers Silvester, died suddenly Saturday, March 29, 2014. Born in Harrisburg, PA, Matt was a son of Timothy Silvester and Susan Finnerty. He grew up in Lynchburg, VA and had made his home in New Ellenton for the last 8 years. He loved traveling and singing. Survivors, in addition to his wife Amanda, include father, Timothy, Lynchburg, Va; mother, Susan Finnerty, Wilmington, NC; three brothers, Mike (Courtney) Silvester, Los Angeles, CA, Daniel (Kelly) Silvester, Clayton, NC, Christopher (Crystal) Silvester, Richmond, VA; half-brother, Nicholas Silvester, Dallas, TX; mother and father-in-law, Paulette and Doug Flowers, New Ellenton; brother-in-law, Kevin Flowers, Savannah, GA. The family will receive friends Thursday, April 3rd at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home beginning at 3:00 PM followed by a funeral service at 4:00 PM. The Rev. Tod Wilson will officiate.
