Frank L. Stevens

AIKEN, SC- On April 01, 2014 Mr. Frank Lever Stevens, Jr., 78 years old, calmly and peacefully went Home to a glorious eternal life with the gracious God who redeemed him so many years ago. Frank is remembered by all who knew him as a man of unwavering integrity who spent his life in committed service to his God and in dedicated work for his family. He pastored several churches in the area, all while working full-time at Graniteville Company and then Kimberly-Clark Corporation, from which he retired in 1991. Since retirement he has been co-owner of Palmetto Nursery and Florist. Frank was a native of Batesburg, SC and attended Southern Methodist College in Aiken, SC, Columbia Bible College in Columbia, SC and Tennessee Temple College in Chattanooga, TN. He was a charter member of Family Fellowship Church. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Marie Johnson Stevens and Frank Lever Stevens, Sr. He is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years Marie Eifert Stevens and four deeply-loved sons, Sam, David, John and Paul. Frank was also blessed and loved by his four terrific daughters-in-law Maria, Lisa, Sarah and DeLisa and 15 grandchildren. Sam and Maria’s children are Andrew, Matthew, Nathanael, Philip, Hannah-Grace and Laurie-Beth. David and Lisa’s children are Jeremiah, Laura, Anna Kate and Luke. John and Sarah’s children are Rebekah, Rachel, Joseph, and Elizabeth. Paul and DeLisa’s son is Noah. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 4, 2014 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Shellhouse- Rivers Funeral Home on Pine Log Road in Aiken, SC. Interment will follow in Ridge Crest Cemetery in Batesburg, SC. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 3, 2014 from 6 to 8 PM at the Shellhouse- Rivers Funeral Home.
