AIKEN, SC – MARION FOX, husband of the late Mary Baughman Fox, died Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at his residence. A native and lifelong resident of Aiken County, Mr. Fox was a son of the late Marvin H. Sr. and Salley Mae Cook Fox.  He served in the United States Navy Seabees during World War II.  He was a carpenter and farmer and was a longtime member of Central Baptist Church. A loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, Mr. Fox is survived by two daughters, Carolyn (Irvin) Boatwright, Ridge Spring, Susan Woodward, Aiken; four grandchildren, Tina (Martin) Redd, Brent (Katy) Boatwright, Kevin Woodward, Chad (Teresa) Woodward; eight great-grandchildren, Brianna Kitchings, Katelyn Redd, Brady, Blake and Bradley Boatwright, Collin, Colby and Carson Woodward; sister Betty Scott, Greenwood, SC.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Fox was preceded in death three weeks ago by his wife of 69 years; three sisters, Patricia Fox, Mildred Wren, Elva Lee Beard; three brothers, M. H. Fox, Jr., Harvey Fox, Odell Fox. A graveside service will be held Friday, April 4th at 11 AMt in Central Baptist Church Cemetery with The Rev. Mike Cato officiating.  Pallbearers will be M.C. Matthews, Eugene Kelly, Jerry Waters, Glenn Fox, Jr., Larry Coleman, Henry Scott. Memorial contributions may be directed to Central Baptist Church, 1652 Wire Rd., Aiken, SC  29805.
