Mildred Phillips Taylor

New Ellenton – Mrs. Mildred Phillips Taylor, 82, of New Ellenton, died Friday, July 18, 2008 at the Medical University of South Carolina. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Monday at Corinth Baptist Church. Reverend Roy Morgan and Reverend Victor Cheek will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Taylor was born in Fall Branch, TN, a daughter of the late William Cecil and Lilly Mae Brown Phillips. She was a resident of New Ellenton since 1952, a member of Corinth Baptist Church, and was very active as a coordinator for the church Prayer Chain. Survivors include four daughters, Patricia (Harold) Key, New Ellenton, Shirley (Daniel) Lowe, New Ellenton, Faye (Steve) Harris, Aiken, Sue (John Belger) Tate, New Ellenton; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, her husband, Kenneth Taylor, and her great granddaughter, McKenna Lynn Brock, preceded her in death.
