AIKEN, SC - CHARLES DEWEY “CHUCK” CRAWFORD, 77, beloved husband of Nancy Wilson Crawford, died Monday, April 14, 2014 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.A native of Washington, DC, Chuck was a son of the late Charles William, Jr. and Jane Catherine Norris Crawford. He was a former Little League Baseball coach in Laurel, MD, winning several state championships. Chuck retired from the United States Government Printing Office in Washington, DC and had lived in Aiken since 1997. He was an avid golfer and was a member of Aiken’s First Baptist Church.Survivors, in addition to his wife Nancy, include a daughter, Laura K. (Stuart) Wilson, Quebec, Canada; a son, Charles William Crawford, Martinsburg, WV; five grandchildren, Jessica Lauren Crawford, Gordon Wilson, Wyatt Wilson, Lloyd Wilson and Hannah Lee Wilson; three sisters, Beverly Denicas, Sybil Russell, Elinor Carr; two brothers, John Crawford and James Crawford.The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Thursday at Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home.The funeral service will be held Friday at 2 PM at the funeral home with The Rev. Dr. Fred W.
