AIKEN, SC- ROSEMARY SMITH THOMAS, 75, beloved wife of 55 years to Tom Thomas, entered into rest Friday, May 9, 2014. Rosemary was a native of Lehigh , Iowa , having made Aiken her home for the past 15 years. She graduated from the University of Hawaii with a degree in Accounting. She spent twenty years working at Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation where she retired as Deputy Director. Rosemary's passions were traveling, spending time with her family and many friends, and playing both golf and bridge. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church , never met a stranger, and always had a smile on her face. Rosemary loved life and had a signature laugh that everyone recognized. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. In addition to her husband, Tom, Rosemary is survived by two daughters, Debra Thomas (Kirk) VanZee, Camp Hill, PA, and Deanna Lynn Provan, Winston-Salem, NC; three grandchildren, Stephanie (Charlie) Kramer, Kelsey L. VanZee, and Brandon T. Provan; three great-grandchildren, Nathan Stewart, Jackson Kramer and Devin Provan; three sisters, Geraldine Ackerman, Sharon Schilling, and Donna Brasfield; a brother, Karl Smith. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Friday, May 16, 2014 at Trinity United Methodist Church. The Reverend Doctor Larry Parker officiating. Please join the family for a reception immediately following the service in the church hall.
