Sara Knight Stephens

AIKEN – Mrs. Sara Knight Stephens, 88, passed away Friday, May 16, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday in the Millbrook Baptist Church Chapel with Pastor Wes Holbrook officiating. Interment will follow in Aiken Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Matt Owens, Jay Owens, Kevin Weis, Wes Cain, Will Cain, and Michael Greenwood. Mrs. Stephens was born in Enoree, SC, a daughter of the late Grover Cleveland and Minnie Huckabee Knight. She had been a resident of Aiken since 1953, was a member of Millbrook Baptist Church and a member of the P.W.F. group. She is survived by her two daughters, Anne (Edward) Owens Weis, Aiken, Sheila (Ray) Owens Cain, Aiken; a son, Danny (Beth) Owens, Wake Forest, NC; step son, Roger (Pam) Stephens, Aiken; grandchildren, Ashley (Michael) Greenwood, Dr. Kevin (Lynn) Weis, Matt (April) Owens, Jay (Courtney) Owens, Wesley Cain, William Cain, Daydra Cain; step granddaughter, Laura (David) Stephens Little; 10 great grandchildren; numerous special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Esley Owens, and second husband, Claude Stephens. Memorials may be directed to Millbrook Baptist Church, 223 S. Aiken Blvd., Aiken, SC 29803.
