BEECH ISLAND, SC – TYLER GARRASON CUNNINGHAM, 19, beloved son of Bave B. and Meg Whittle Cunningham, died Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at GRU Medical Center, Augusta, GA
Tyler was born in Augusta, GA on April 8, 1995. He grew up in Jackson and Beech Island and was a graduating senior at Silver Bluff High School. He earned the designation of certified machinist from the Aiken County Career Center and was an antique tractor enthusiast. Tyler was a member of Jackson First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his parents, Meg and Bave Cunningham; his sister, Ellen Cunningham all of the home; maternal grandparents, Susan and Gardner Whittle, Beech Island, paternal grandmother, Bonnie Cunningham, New Ellenton; aunts and uncles, Mark and Charlene Whittle, Beech Island, Ben and Amy Phibbs, Aiken and Ben and Ginger Cunningham.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 Friday evening at Jackson First Baptist Church.
The funeral service will be Saturday at 1 o’clock in the afternoon at Jackson First Baptist Church with The Revs. Brian Henderson and Marion Britton officiating. Private burial will be in Jackson Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Michael Matlock, Jeff Miles, Barney Hicks, Jacob Craven, Melvin Weathersbee and Zachary Sims.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Tyler Cunningham Scholarship Fund, for Ellen Cunningham at any First Citizens Bank and Trust location.
