Patricia Stutsman Bonvallet

AIKEN - Patricia M. Bonvallet, 86, entered peacefully into rest June 10, 2014 in her home surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Bonvallet was a native of Rockford, Illinois and the daughter of the late Walter B. Stutsman and Miriam M. (née Clark) Stutsman. She married Gordon G. Bonvallet in 1947 and earned a degree in English at the University of Illinois in 1948. Pat was active in volunteering and in church activities. She was an avid bridge player and a gourmet cook. She loved her home, friends, and her garden. She and Gordon retired to Aiken in 1995 and enjoyed their retired life and cherished their many friends. Pat was a loving, giving person and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her three children, Jeffrey (Laura Fisher) Bonvallet of Hobart, WI; Debbra Bonvallet (Ross Bowser) of St. Augustine, FL; and Mark (Ryan) Bonvallet of Aiken, SC; two grandchildren Lucus (Elise Bartholomew) Bonvallet and Lillian Bonvallet of Columbia, NJ; two great-grandsons Rhys and Gordon Bonvallet; a sister Shirley Stutsman Deusch; several nieces and nephews; and her dog Mandi. She is preceded in death by her parents Walter and Miriam Stutsman; her brother Melvin Stutsman; and her beloved husband Gordon. A memorial service will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, June 15, 2014 at the First Presbyterian Church in Aiken.
