Dorothy Gladys Scott

AIKEN, SC – Mrs. Dorothy Gladys Scott, 79, beloved wife of the late Lee Roy Scott, Sr., died Saturday at Aiken Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Scott was born in Castroville, CA on September 4, 1928, to the late Harry and Florence Marcel Chambers. She was a homemaker and a member of Spring Branch Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters Peggy (Ray) Call of Fontana, CA, and Nora (Gerald) Gonzales of Soledad, CA, three sons Jamie (Wendy) Scott of Warrenville, SC, Lee Roy Scott and Melvin Scott both from Windsor, SC, and was the grandmother to fifteen grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she is also preceded in death by a daughter, Wanda Alunbaugh. Services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM at Spring Branch Baptist Church with the Reverend Ernest Webb officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeff Scott, Eric Scott, Rick Miller, Fred Chambers, Jr., Ben Sharpe and Juan Maciel.
