Ruth L. Spector

AIKEN, SC – Mrs. Ruth L. Spector, 79, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2014. Born in Darby, PA, Ruth was a daughter to the late Rutherford and Edith Lank of Short Hills, NJ. In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Spector of New York, NY. Ruth graduated from Barnard College in New York City and worked many years in New York's jewelry industry. She recently moved to Aiken, SC from Lake Worth, Florida where she had resided for 20 years, after relocating from New York, NY. Ruth is survived by her sister, Jane L. Garrison, Bryn Mawr, PA; three nieces, Amy Gray, Aiken,SC, Linda Neely, Glenview, IL, Jennifer Bona, Randolph, NJ and two nephews, John Garrison, Mountain Lakes, NJ and James Garrison, Phoenixville, PA. Private funeral services will be held in Wayne, Pennsylvania at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Mrs. Spector’s name may be directed to Cumberland Village Employee Fund.
