Norman Lester Reese

AIKEN, SC- Mr. Norman Lester Reese, 81, beloved husband of Vera Zimmerman Reese, died Thursday August 21, 2008 at the Veterans Hospital in Augusta, GA. Mr. Reese was born in Aiken County, SC to the late Quincy and Tessie Chavis Reese. He served in the United States Air Force during World War II. He worked for Owens Corning Fiberglass as an electrician and was a faithful member of Bethcar Baptist Church. In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters Jackie Moore of Aiken, SC and Janice (Don) Williams of Neeses, SC, four sons Noel (Rebecca) Reese, Losik (Tammy) Reese both from Aiken, SC, Steven (Viki) Reese of New Ellenton, SC and Adam Reese of Saratoga, NY, five sisters Avonne Holley, Delane Headley, Gail Creasman from Alabama, Peggy Widener of Montmorenci, SC, and June Cofer of New Ellenton, SC, and two brothers Neal Reese of Aiken, SC, and Allen Reese of Lexington, SC. Funeral services with military honors will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday August 23, at Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Chapel, 715 East Pine Log Rd, Aiken, SC, with Reverend Rodney Powell officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
