AIKEN, SC – DOROTHY PARMELEE, 88, widow of Thomas Parmelee, Sr., died Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Pepper Hill Nursing Center.
A native of Muskegon, MI, Dorothy was a daughter of the late William and Gertrude Groeneveld. She and her late husband were the former owners of Parmelee’s Jewelry in Muskegon before retiring in the late 1980’s. She lived in Florida for a number of years before moving to Aiken 7 years ago.
Survivors include a daughter, Sandee (Andy) Maddox, Woods Hole, MA; a son, Tom Parmelee, Aiken, SC; three grandchildren, Calie Maddox, Woods Hole, MA, Rick (Cathy) Cram, Aiken, SC, Brent (Susan) Cowan, Hastings, MI; four great-grandchildren, Celia and Liza Cram, Megan and Austin Cowan; a brother, Andrew (Doris) Groeneveld, Muskegon, MI
A Celebration of her Life will be held Friday afternoon, July 11, 2014 from 4 until 6 o’clock at the residence of Sandra Thomas, 1245 Audobon Dr., Aiken, SC.
