Luther Enoch Allen

AIKEN, SC- LUTHER ENOCH ALLEN, JR., 87, beloved husband of Ora Mae Johnson Allen, died Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Aiken Regional Medical Center. Mr. Allen was born in Aynor, SC, having made Aiken his home since 1960. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Mr. Allen retired as a banker and was a member of Millbrook Baptist Church and the Lions Club. Mr. Allen was preceded in death by his parents, Luther Enoch Allen, Sr. and Annie Smith Allen. In addition to his wife Ora Mae, he is survived by a daughter, Stephanie G. (Herbert) Harden; a son, Stephen G. (Dorothy) Allen, all of Aiken, SC; three grandchildren, Alecia (Chad) Hardt, Chad (Lauren) Harden, and Sarah(Zane) Prosser; three great-grandchildren, William August Hardt, Maecy Rebecca Hardt, and Blane Allen Prosser; a sister, Mary Ellen Wise, North Myrtle Beach, SC. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 3 PM in the Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home Chapel. The Reverend Doctor Christopher Masters officiating. Private interment in Southlawn Cemetery.
