Thomas Brown

WAGENER, SC – Mr. Thomas Brown, 70, passed away Sunday, August 4, 2014. A lifelong resident of Aiken County, Mr. Brown was a son of the late Harold and Rosalyn Grice Brown. He worked as a heavy equipment operator was of Baptist faith. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is survived by his daughters, Tracy (Jim) Brown, Lincolnton, GA, Lee (Murtis) Benton, Edgefield, SC, Robbie Catherine Mixon, Wagener, SC; a son, Ashton Hart Rigsby, Aiken, SC; four grandchildren, Christopher Williams, Cassie Digsby, Mandi Durham, Tatelyn Benton; four great grandchildren; three sisters, Lois (Jimmy) Hatcher, Aiken, Pat (Tom) Atnipp, Easley, SC, Marie Boatwright, Edgefield, SC; and a brother, Leroy (Vickie) Brown of Aiken. He is also survived by his ex-wife Judy Brown. In addition to his parents, Mr. Brown was preceded in death by three sisters, Mildred Padgett, Judy Grant and Gloria Perkins. A memorial service will be held 4:00 PM Thursday, August 7, 2014 at the Shellhouse Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Ronald Hasty officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home at 3:00 PM.
