Donnie Lee Magee

WARRENVILLE – Mr. Donnie Lee Magee, 79, passed away Monday, August 25, 2014. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church with the Reverend Karl Dunker officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Mr. Magee was born in Rockford, IL, a son of the late Foster and Loretta Olson Magee. He retired from the US Navy Reserves, and was owner/operator of a service station in Rockford for many years. He was a lifetime member of the Navy Club in Rockford, a member of the VFW, a member of the Reunion of the CVA-43 Coral Sea Association, and an avid Chicago Cubs fan. He is survived by his beloved wife, Doreen Segerlind Magee; daughter Karen (John) Hartz, Roscoe, IL; son Kurt (Mary) Magee, Huntersville, NC; five grandchildren, Joshua and Tanya Colvin, Kylee and Annie Magee, Robbie Hartz; four great grandchildren, Maddie and Farrah Sallinger, Hailie Garman, Anthony Hartz; a brother, Michael Magee, Rockford, IL.
