Margaret Anne Flippin

NEW ELLENTON, SC- MARGARET ANNE FLIPPIN, 63, entered into rest Wednesday, August 27, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday at Corinth Baptist Church with the Reverend Mike Bell officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Ms. Flippin was born in Wilmington, DE, and lived most of her life in New Ellenton. She was a longtime member of Corinth Baptist Church where she was active in the choir and was treasurer/secretary of the Senior Women’s Sunday School Class, was an operator for Aiken Answering Service for over 40 years, and was in the New Ellenton Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She loved to sing, read her Bible, and sit on the porch watching birds. She is survived by her sister in law, Shirley Flippin, New Ellenton; niece Suzanne F. Moon, New Ellenton; nephew, Melvin (Arlene) Flippin, Jr., Beech Island; great niece Lindsey R. Moon; great nephew, Carson J. Flippin. Ms. Flippin was preceded in death by her parents, Hassel Lester and Juanita Moore Flippin; a brother, Melvin F.
