AIKEN – Mrs. Abie Day Funderburg, 92, passed away Monday, September 1, 2014 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday at Shiloh Baptist Church with the Reverend Glen Davis and the Reverend Taylor Wells officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Funderburg was a daughter of the late Furman Adam and Pearlie Fulmer Day. She was a lifelong resident of Aiken, a homemaker and seamstress, and member of Shiloh Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her three daughters, Thelma (Buddy) Baynham, Jennie (Monroe) Coffey, Phyllis (Buddy) Winham, all of Aiken; seven grandchildren, Bryan Baynham, Teresa Baynham, Robert Baynham, Mark Coffey, Cindy Shope Lee, Becky Risinger, Bonnie Winham Woodward; 16 great grandchildren, Ben Baynham, Joseph Baynham, Cameron Baynham, Josh Baynham, Tonya Baynham, Olivia Baynham, Elaina Baynham, Victoria Shope, John E. Shope, Evan Coffey, Teddy Risinger, Sydney Coffey, Emorie Baynham, Kelsie Risinger, Daniel Woodward, Crystal Woodward; three great-great grandchildren, Kaydan Lee, Jimmie Baynham, Shelby Taylor.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Funderburg was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Edgar Funderburg.
