AIKEN, SC – PAULINE OLIVER VALLEY, 96, widow of Clayton Valley, Sr., died Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at NHC Healthcare in North Augusta. A native of Charleston, SC, Pauline was a daughter of the late Charles and Maude Clemmons Oliver. She loved spending time on Folly Beach as she was growing up and then later years at Hunting Island. She had lived in Aiken since 1954 and was a homemaker. Pauline loved interior decorating and formerly did work with Hart’s Electrical in Augusta. She enjoyed sewing and crafts. She was of the Lutheran faith. Survivors include two daughters, Janet (John) Blaich, Florence, SC, Linda (Stan Meadows) Young, Clarks Hill, SC; grandchildren, Brooks Robinson, Janet (Marc) Deason, Jill (Cary) Schoener, Joy (Duke) Harkins, Ryan Blaich, Leslie Blaich, Angela (Billy) Vitense, Wes (Katie) Young, Cheryl McLeod; and Tony Young; 14 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Margaret Burris, Columbia, SC. In addition to her husband and parents, Pauline was preceded in death by two sons, Julius Burris and Clayton Valley; a grandson, Jay Burris and a brother, C. A. Oliver. The family will receive friends Saturday morning, September 6th beginning at 10 o’clock at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home followed by the funeral service at 11 o’clock. The Reverend Alan Quarles will officiate. Private burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Marc Deason, Ryan Blaich, Brooks Robinson, Arthur China, Duke Harkins and Cary Schoener.
