Nan "Bitsy" Brooks Webb

AIKEN, SC - Mrs. Nan “Bitsy” Webb, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, recently of Aiken, SC (since 2011) but a long-time resident of Birmingham, AL entered into rest on September 2, 2014. She was born in Birmingham on September 3, 1913. She worked as a hairdresser for over 60 years and operated her own shop in the TCI Apartments in Fairfield, AL. She was a member of Fairfield First Baptist Church for 65 years. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Dora McLaughlin Brooks, and her brothers, Ross, Willard, Ollie Tice, Erskine, and Dile Brooks. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Charles Sessions of Aiken, SC; her grandsons and their wives, Keith and Stacie Sessions of Hoover, AL and Kevin and Jill Sessions of Evans, GA; and her great-grandchildren, Shelby, Logan, Eliza Jane, and Sam Sessions. Graveside service will be held Saturday, September 6, at 2:00pm at Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association.
