Earleen Rogers Sanders

AIKEN, SC – EARLEEN ROGERS SANDERS, 72, widow of Forest Sanders, died Monday, September 15, 2008 at her residence. A native of Darlington, SC, Mrs. Sanders was a daughter of the late Fred and Marie Baker Rogers. She had lived in Aiken since 1962 and was retired from Beechum Industries after 10 years of service. She also worked at Walmart for several years. Survivors include a daughter, Karen (Duane) Edington, Aiken, a son, Nick (Lillian) Sanders, Arnoldsville, GA, eight grandchildren, Brian Sanders, Brad Sanders, Brent Sanders, Melissa Sanders, Joshua Gordon, Matthew Gordon, Stephanie Jacovino and Marty Edington, three great-grandchildren, Austin Moseley, Bryson Jacovino and Aubrey Edington, and three sisters, Gertrude Burgess, Flint, MI, Eula Mae Davis and Sybil Davis, both of Darlington, SC. She was predeceased by a sister, Kathleen Odom. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Shellhouse- Rivers Funeral Home, 715 East Pine Log Rd., Aiken, SC. Interment will follow in Aiken Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
