George Paul Fitzgerald

AIKEN, SC- GEORGE PAUL FITZGERALD, 85, beloved husband of Suzanne (Sue) Fitzgerald, died Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at his residence. A native of Toledo, Ohio, Mr. Fitzgerald was the son of the late Archibald and Grace Brown Fitzgerald. Mr. Fitzgerald retired as a Pharmaceutical Salesman and had made Aiken, SC his home since 1979. He was a communicant of St. Mary Help of Christian Catholic Church and loved playing golf and bridge. He was a member of the Barber Shoppers Group Chorus in Detroit, Michigan and volunteered at ACTS in Aiken. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Suzanne Fitzgerald; three daughters, Marysue Cardenas, White Lake, MI, Nancy (Gary) Easton, Melbourne Beach, FL, Lori (Andy) George, Livonia, MI; a son, Michael (Jan) Fitzgerald, Roswell, GA; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one sister, Margaret Yambor, Toledo, OH. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 AM Saturday, September 20, 2014 at St. Mary Help of Christian Catholic Church. Father Art Dalapang Celebrant. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. A prayer service will be held 6 PM this Friday evening at Shellhouse Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the prayer service at the funeral home until 8 PM.
