AIKEN, SC – HEYWARD E. EUBANKS, 85, beloved husband of Mae Busbee Eubanks, died Sunday, September 21, 2008 at his residence.
A native and lifelong resident of Aiken County, Mr. Eubanks was a son of the late Curl and Leila Pennington Eubanks. He retired from DuPont at the Savannah River Plant, and was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.
Survivors, in addition to his beloved wife of 61 years, Mae, include a daughter, Barbara (Chris) Burnett, Aiken, two sons, Donnie (Judy) Eubanks, Cincinnati, OH and Billy (Alane) Eubanks, Merritt Island, FL, six grandchildren, Dee Eubanks, Nikki (Eric) Baumann, Christine (Eric) Belusko, William Eubanks, Alex Eubanks and Michael Burnett, eight great grandchildren, and a sister, Dorothy Bryant, Aiken.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM at Shiloh Baptist Church with Rev. Taylor Wells officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dee Eubanks, William Eubanks, Michael Burnett, Alex Eubanks, Eric Baumann and Eric Belusko. Honorary Pallbearers will be Odell Eubanks and Travis Miller.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home, 715 East Pine Log Rd., Aiken, SC.
