Selona Loyless Murph

AIKEN – Mrs. Selona Loyless Murph, 99, passed away Sunday, September 21, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM Wednesday at St. Johns United Methodist Church with the Reverend Ray Litts officiating. The family will receive friends in Ward Hall following the service. Interment will then be held in Aiken Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Murph was born in Greenwood, SC, a daughter of the late Elliott and Kirk Jay Loyless. She was a graduate of Lander University. She moved to Aiken in 1953 and taught in the Aiken County school system. She was a member of St. Johns United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, the Katie Williams Sunday School class, and Delta Kappa Gamma. She was a former member of the Pilot Club and Town and Country. Survivors include her daughter, Judy Murph (Alan) Smith, Thomson, GA; son, Wesley (Marie) Murph, Pfafftown, NC; four grandchildren, Susan Murph (Michael) McCabe, Kimberly Murph (Andrew) Fansler, Thomas Wesley (Ellen) Smith, Andrew Ferrel Smith; five great grandchildren, Drew Fansler, Ty Fansler, Wes McCabe, Harper Smith, Kirksey Smith.
