Leon Carroll Casey

WARRENVILLE, SC – LEON C. CASEY, 70, beloved husband of Marilyn Sease Casey, died Thursday, September 25, 2008 at his residence. A native of Danville, VA, Mr. Casey was a son of Ruth Derrick Casey and the late Claude Casey. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. L. C. had lived in Aiken since 1960 and was retired from Owens Corning Fiberglass. He was a member of Mid Valley Baptist Church, a Mason and was an avid Clemson fan. He also enjoyed items from area flea markets. Survivors, in addition to his wife Marilyn, include his mother Ruth of Edgefield, two sons, Michael Dean Casey, Aiken, and Leon Carroll (Beverly) Casey, Jr., Augusta, GA. A step son, Ronald Kaney, Lexington, SC, a step granddaughter, Susan Kaney, Charleston, SC and a brother, Michael Casey, Johnston, SC. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM at Mid Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Kirk officiating. Interment will follow at 1:30 PM in the Pisgah Lutheran Church Cemetery in Lexington, SC. Pallbearers will be Pat Waters, Keith Herron, Darren Miller, Tommy Clary, Bobby Poole and Billy Hicks. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Friday at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home, 715 East Pine Log Rd., Aiken, SC.
