Robert Lee Valentine

AIKEN – Mr. Robert Lee Valentine, 79, died October 1, 2008 at Azalea Woods. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday in the Shellhouse Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Sonny Wade and Reverend Lanard Briggs will officiate. Interment will follow in Rock Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Anthony Russell and Mr. Valentine’s grandsons. Mr. Valentine was born in Saluda County, SC, a son of the late Will and Gertie Smith Valentine. He was a lifelong resident of Aiken, and a heavy equipment operator. He was a member of Hayden Baptist Church. Survivors include three daughters, Patricia (Wallace) Smith, Aiken, Janice (William) Reid, Aiken, Dianne (Roscoe) Chandler; two sons, Kenneth (Sarah) Valentine, New Ellenton, Timothy (Brenda Lee) Valentine, Graniteville; 28 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; a brother, Amos Valentine, Aiken. In addition to his parents, his wife, Alwillie Williams Valentine; brother, Callie “Pudding” Valentine; son Robert Valentine, Jr., preceded him in death.
