Virginia Bauman Vine

AIKEN – Mrs. Virginia Ann Bauman Vine, 79, passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2014. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday in the Shellhouse Funeral Home Chapel, Hayne Ave., with the Reverend Reilly Hammond officiating. Inurnment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Vine, a resident of Aiken since 1977, was born in Buffalo, NY, a daughter of the late Norman and Loretta Jordan Bauman. She was a homemaker, a loving mother and grandmother, enjoyed working in her garden, entertaining, and participating in the Kalmia Landing Social Hour. She was a member of St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church. Mrs. Vine is survived by her two daughters, Karen (Johnnie Ganem) Schroder, Savannah, GA, Gigi (Chip) Satcher, Johnston, SC; three sons, Richard (Sandra) Vine, Jr., Aiken, Robert (Kim) Vine, Sr., Aiken, Danny (Robin) Vine, Aiken; grandchildren, Michael Schroder, Jason Cooper, Chris Vine, Josh Vine, Terri English, Robert Vine, Jr., Thomas Vine, Heather Lopez, Lauren Lopez, Mathew Schaub, Amanda Vine, Alicia Vine; 20 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Vine was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Vine, Sr., and a brother, Norman Bauman, Jr. The family has requested that memorials be sent to the Savannah River Cancer Foundation, P.O.
