Christopher John Baker

AIKEN, SC -- CHRISTOPHER JOHN BAKER, 65, beloved husband of Elizabeth McGee Baker, died Thursday, October 9, 2008 at his residence. A native of Erie, PA, Chris was a son of Bette Baker and the late Harold Baker. He was a graduate of Barry University and Harvard PMD. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He had lived in Aiken since 1989. Mr. Baker's working career was in the nuclear field and he retired from Washington Group International at the Savannah River Site. Survivors are his wife, Elizabeth, his son, Harold Baker of Augusta, GA and his mother Bette of Cleveland, OH. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 AM Tuesday at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church. Interment will be at 2:30 PM in Beaufort National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Monday at Shellhouse - Rivers Funeral Home, 715 East Pine Log Rd., Aiken, SC.
