AIKEN - Mrs. Mabel Beasley, 90, beloved wife of William "Bill" Beasley, passed away Sunday, November 2, 2014.
Graveside services will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at Historic Bethany Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Fred Andrea, III officiating.
A lifelong resident of Aiken, Mrs. Beasley was the daughter of the late Frank Brown and Mabel Kimball McCoy. She married her husband Bill on July 29, 1944. Mrs. Beasley worked as a kindergarten teacher at Aiken Day School for 26 years. She was a member of Aiken’s First Baptist Church and was currently the church’s longest attending member.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two great grandsons, Joseph and Thomas Loebsack, Charlotte, NC; nieces, Macie Kimball McCoy, Aiken, Stephenie McCoy Hewett, Mt. Pleasant, SC; and a newphew, Howard Grohmann McCoy of Simpsonville, SC.
She was preceded in death by a son, Alton McCoy Beasley; granddaughters, Elizabeth Willson Beasley, Anna Beasley Loebsack; and a brothers, Frank Grohmann McCoy and Frank Brown McCoy, Jr.
