Sara Lynn Acton

AIKEN – Ms. Sara Lynn Acton, 57, died suddenly at her home Tuesday, November 11, 2014. Sara was born in Neenah, WI, to Marian Grunske and the late Charles F. Acton. She moved with her parents to Aiken at the age of ten. She graduated from Aiken High School then received her undergraduate and Masters Degrees from Clemson University. She was a business analyst for Blue Cross Blue Shield of South Carolina in Columbia. Sara was a very active and beloved volunteer for the Aiken Community Playhouse; the Aiken Center for the Arts as well as special events within the horse community. She was also a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Aiken. In addition to her mother, Sara is survived by her aunt, Carol (Kenneth) Zeinert, Menasha, WI, two aunts in Florida and several cousins in Indiana and Wisconsin. Memorials made in Sara’s name may be directed to the building fund at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 961 Trail Ridge Rd., Aiken, SC 29803 A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 15 at 3:00 pm, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Aiken, with Pastor Bob Byrne and Pastor Jeff Erbskorn officiating.
