AIKEN – Mrs. Lillian Carpenter Wiles, 88, passed away peacefully at her home on November 14, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of the late Raymond H. Carpenter and Minnie Day Carpenter. She was the widow of the late Alfred C. Wiles.
Survivors include three daughters: Sharon (Andy) Oswald, Patricia Beam, Margie (Walter) Moore; eight sons: Alfred Good, Johnny Wiles, Mark Wiles, Robbie Wiles, Houston Good, Mike Good, Joe Steven Brazzel and John David Goldliner; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; two brothers: Earl Carpenter and Ray Carpenter.
Commonly known to all as “Mama Wiles”, she was the epitome of love, a humble servant of Jesus Christ. Her greatest joy was giving to others. Her heart was open to all, and she gave her last every time. She was a blessing and touched so many people’s lives. She will forever be missed. As we tearfully say goodbye, Heaven rejoices with Open Arms.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 PM Monday, November 17, 2014, with the funeral service beginning at 3:00 PM in the Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home chapel. Pastor John L. Arthur will officiate. Interment will follow in the Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Devin Wiles, Lil Mike Good, David Wilkinson, James Crews, Jason Knight and Cameron Harley.
