Aiken, SC-Frank Corley Kitchings, 61, loving husband of Terry Cole Kitchings, died Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at his home. He was the son of the late Woodrow Wilson Kitchings. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM at Shellhouse Rivers Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Marion F. Britton officiating. Interment will follow in Darien Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Kitchings was a life long resident of Aiken. He was a millwright at International Paper Co. He also served his country in the National Guard. Survivors other than his wife, Terry Cole Kitchings, and his mother, Mildred Burnett Kitchings, include his brothers, Wiley (Kat) Kitchings, Augusta, GA, Wallace (LaFaye) Kitchings, Aiken, Johnny (Monty) Kitchings, Graniteville, Jimmy Kitchings, Aiken; Nieces, Michelle Scott, Simpsonville, SC, Libby Dardin, Appling, GA, Melanie Pniewski, Graniteville, Brandi DeJean, Graniteville; Nephews, Dylan Davis, Aiken, Gabriel Kitchings, Warrenville, Chris Kitchings, Aiken, Joey Kitchings, Barnwell,. Preceded in death by a brother, Wilson Kitchings.
Pallbearers will be Tom Shealy, Jimmy Woodward, Andy Willis, Vernon Summers, Bobby Day, Jim Day. Honorary Pallbearers will be the maintenance crew at International Paper Co. Memorials may be made to Darien Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 1362 Hatchaway Bridge Road, Aiken, SC, 29801, Lighthouse Baptist Church, 2150 Columbia, Hwy, Aiken SC, 29801. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Shellhouse Rivers Funeral Home.
