Emmie Mae DeVane Montgomery

AIKEN, SC – Emmie DeVane Montgomery, 90, passed away Sunday, November 16, 2014. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, November 19 at 2:00 PM at St. Johns United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Tim McClendon officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in Ward Hall. Mrs. Montgomery was a life long resident of Aiken. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church and a member of the Hospital Auxiliary at Aiken Regional Medical Center. Survivors include a son, Carl Alan Montgomery, San Francisco, CA; a grandchild, Beckett Montgomery; and a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Montgomery's husband, Carl “Monty” Sylvester Montgomery, preceded her in death. In lieu of flowers contributions may be directed to ACTS, 340 Park Avenue, Aiken, SC 29801.
