AIKEN- Mr. Asa Guy Ropp, Jr., 88, died October 24, 2008. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, Oct. 28 at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Interment will be held privately at Historic Bethany Cemetery. Mr. Ropp was born in Batesburg, SC to the late Asa Guy Ropp, Sr. and Ammie Lee Altman Ropp. He had lived in Aiken for the past 28 years. He was in sales and engineering in the automotive manufacturing business, and a member of St Paul Lutheran Church. Loving husband of Janet Marie Collard Ropp and beloved father of Joanne Ropp and Richard A. Ropp of Aiken; and a brother, Donald W. Ropp, Columbia, SC.
