Nancy Sunderland Drannon

AIKEN – Mrs. Nancy Sunderland Drannon, 80, passed away Sunday, November 30, 2014. A Funeral Mass will be held at noon Wednesday at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church with the Reverend Gregory Wilson officiating.  Interment will be held privately at a later date.  Mrs. Drannon was born in Annapolis, MD, a daughter of the late John and Anna Sauer Sunderland.  She had been a resident of Aiken since 1983, and worked as a bookkeeper for Tri-Development and St. Marys.  She was also an active volunteer with the Aiken Regional Hospital Auxiliary. Mrs. Drannon is survived by her daughter, Alice (Russell) D. Hale, Aiken; two sons, Jim (Donna Wright) Drannon, Aiken, Stephen Drannon, Cincinnati, OH; two grandchildren, Paul and Anna Hale; two sisters, Mary Jane (Tom) Page, Merritt Island, FL, Bobbye (Roger) Key, Las Vegas, NV; and a brother, Roy “Skip” (Linda) Sunderland, Charlotte, NC.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry C. Drannon, Jr., daughter Paula Drannon, and four brothers and sisters. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the St. Marys Capital Campaign, 203 Park Ave., SE, Aiken, SC 29801, or the Savannah River Cancer Foundation, P.O.
