AIKEN – Ms. Bessie Marie Baughman, 95, died Sunday, November 9, 2008. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday in the Shellhouse Funeral Home Chapel, Hayne Ave. Interment will follow in the Rocky Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Todd Heath, Jeff Heath, Brent Heath, Eric Muhlbaier, Rock Slaughter and Jimmy White. Ms. Baughman was born in Aiken, a daughter of the late Thomas Lafayette and Mary Annie Grice Baughman. She was a lifelong resident of Aiken and a member of Darien Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughters, Sandra Gray and Sherry (Jimmy) White, both of Aiken; nieces, Faye Slaughter, Bessie Ann Rains, Jennifer (Eric) Muhlbaier; nephews, Todd (Michele) Heath, Jeff (Gianna) Heath, Brent Heath. In addition to her parents, a sister, Lillie B. Pennington, preceded her in death. Memorials may be directed to the Rocky Springs Baptist Church Building Fund, 1000 New Holland Rd., Aiken, SC 29805.
