Theresa Robinson Cook

AIKEN, SC – THERESA ROBINSON COOK, 90, widow of James L. Cook, died Friday, December 19, 2014 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. A native of Russellville, SC, Theresa was a daughter of the late Jessie and Marie Thweatt Robinson. She had made Aiken her home since 1957 and was a homemaker. Theresa enjoyed spending time with her family and especially their annual trip to Edisto Beach. She loved her four cats. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Bobbie Cook, Aiken; three grandchildren, Laura (Jimmy) Gossett, Jessica (Chad) Campbell, Jamey (fianceé, Kristal Konwinski) Cook; four great-grandchildren, Emily and Jordan Gossett, Paige and Taylor Campbell; a sister, Catherine Horner, Alexandria, LA; special friend and caregiver, Elizabeth Wainwright and nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 until 8 o’clock at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home. A private funeral service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to a church of one’s choice or to FOTAS, Friends of the Animal Shelter’s spay and neuter program, PO Box 2207, Aiken, South Carolina 29802 (fotasaiken.org).
