Harry "Ty" Hasting Tyler, III

AIKEN - Mr. Harry "Ty" Hasting Tyler, III, 63, passed away Sunday, December 21, 2014. Known to family and friends as “Ty” Mr. Tyler was born on July 19, 1951 in Sumter, SC to Anne Henson O’Neil, Bullard, TX and the late Harry Hasting Tyler, Jr. He graduated from Aiken High School and attended University of SC, Aiken Campus. He was a lifelong resident of Aiken. Ty was previously employed by City of Aiken, then later in golf course maintenance with both the Aiken Golf Club and The Reserve at Woodside Plantation. He was of Baptist faith. In addition to his mother, Mr. Tyler is survived by his aunt Theresa Cooper, Fripp Island, SC and his stepfather Harry O’Neil of Bullard, TX and many friends. He was predeceased by a sister, Sandra Anne Tyler, Lawrenceville, GA and uncle, Alan Cooper Fripp Island. The family will receive friends for a Celebration of Life on Saturday, January 10, 2015 from 4:00PM to 5:30PM at Shellhouse Funeral Home, 924 Hayne Avenue, Aiken, SC. Internment of ashes will be at a later date at the Fripp Island All Faiths Chapel Columbarium.
