Aileen Collins Leinart

AIKEN – Mrs. Aileen Collins Leinart, 90, passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2015. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM Friday, January 9, 2015, in the Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home chapel with the Reverend Davis Barton officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Mrs. Leinart was born in Corbin, KY, a daughter of the late William Thornton and Danny Mae Johnson Collins. She moved to Aiken in 1952 with her husband, (the late) James Leinhart. She was a devout Christian, and loving mother, grandmother and sister. She is survived by two daughters, Peggy L. Barnes, Aiken, Debi Leinart, Roswell, GA; a son, Jimmy Leinart, Chapin, SC; four grandchildren, Jennifer B. Neal, Byron Barnes, Jack Heard, Asa Heard; five great grandchildren, Lauren Glover, Logan Neal, Trey Neal, Chase Barnes and Matthew Barnes; a sister, Geneva Collins, California; a brother, Arville Collins, Knoxville, TN.
